It looks like I have a tiny problem and couldn’t figure out what I am doing wrong.
And here are the facts:
I am using MODX Rev 2.0.4-pl 2 and trying to build up my simple top horizontal navigation (no drop down, only one level) with Wayfinder. In order to make my navigation look like my CSS based frame layout, I need to customize all elements to make it workable with my css style.
My main problem is that I couldn’t configure my links so that the anchor text be in within a span element like this:
<li><a href="#" title=""><span>Anchor text</span></a></li>
The call snippet in my template looks like this:
[[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &includeDocs=`1,11,2,16,17,18,4,12` &sortBy=`menuindex` &outerTpl=`cssplay_outer` &cssTpl=`cssplay_dropdown`]]
For the &outerTpl I am using this:
<ul id="topnav">
[[+wf.wrapper]]
</ul>
This way the navigation works pretty well however I need the span element to further customise in CSS.
Here is what I tried:
I added the &rowTpl=`cssplay_row` to the snippet call which is customised as follows:
<li[[+wf.classes]]>
<a href="[[+wf.link]]" title="[[+wf.title]"><span>[[+wf.linktext]]</span></a>
</li>
Refreshing my page, the links are not working (# tag in href, no title) and couldn’t achieve the look I need for the top nav.
Probably I am misusing the parameters needed for this task. I’m trying to figure out what might be wrong by analysing parameter descriptions on muddydogpaws.com but till now I failed to solve this.
After all, the solution should be very simple so I would appreciate if you could help me out.
