[Solved] Revolution 2.0 multilingual second level menu

Hi, I’m a Modx noob and I’m stumped laugh

I’m trying to build a multilingual website with a first-level top menu and a second-level sidebar menu wich I want to display all entries of the section.

What’s working:
I built the multlanguage part according to this tutorial and called wayfinder for my horizontal menu with this code:

[[Wayfinder? &startId=`[[UltimateParent? &topLevel=`1`]]`&level=`1`&outerClass=`nav`&innerClass=`subnav`]]

What’s missing:
My vertical menu (and I googled a lot and tried a plethora of different calls)
I want the menu to display all resources of the section regardless how deep the user is in the section. I.e. for Company, Philosophy, Services, Development, Support the menu should look all alike this:

Company
|-Philosophy
|-Services
  |-Development
  |-Support

How do I get the right start-Id?

Use the parameter [tt]&top[/tt] (instead of or together with [tt]&topLevel[/tt] ):

[[!Wayfinder? &startId=`[[UltimateParent? &top=`##`]]`]]

where for ## you have to insert the ID of the ressource [tt]de[/tt] .
(For the English version you need to replace ## by the ID of [tt]en[/tt] . That is, you have to use different calls for the different language versions.)

Any idea how to automate this so I don’t need different templates for the language versions?

So simple! <g>

only drawback is that the startpage for the category ("Company" in my example) does not appear in the side menu, but I can live with this.

Try this one:

[[!Wayfinder? &startId=`[[UltimateParent? &topLevel=`1`]]`]]

(No need of [tt]&top[/tt] then!)
