I am using EVO 1.0.4 with Wayfinder 2.0 in a small site which has html pages and a section with pdf files (as separate modx documents).
Currently the pdf files are included on a "weblink" page using a TV with input type file - that way the client can easily select the pdf file.
Its the first time I have built a site with pdf files as links in menus and I am not sure if I have approached this correctly -
I have got it working with phx but I am just wondering what the best practice way is to include the correct path to the pdf files (as opposed to the MODx alias) in the wayfinder sitemap?
(allowing for minimal double handling by the client - and eliminating possible cut and paste errors)
Without phx, the menu kept returning the alias of the modx generated pdf files - which are not actually pages.
Prior to having success with phx, I also tried adding [(site_url)]/[+pdf+] into the web link field but that only returned a link to the home page.
I am interested in how other more experienced users approach pdf files in wayfinder menus.
