Hi! I’d like to know your best solution for manage a document folder where editors (users) can insert images and documents in ModX backoffice.
I’d like to create a folder (writable) and allow users to upload documents only in this specified folder.
What do you for manage this??
and... where do you save this folder?? in root of site?? in assests folder?? in template folder?? where??

    Thanks

        Hi il_dandi,

You will most likely receive replies to your question by supplying more information and being a little bit more precise. Right now it looks like you are asking someone to explain how to build an entire set of components for a website in a single reply, which is not possible. I would like to help, but if you could answer some questions:

        - what version of modx are you running?
        - how far have you gotten in your site development? are you starting from scratch?

If I understand you correctly - if your users are using the modx manager, you can achieve this by using template variables and a plugin like phpthumbof. As far as uploading, do you want them to be able to create pages in modx or upload files to a folder?

So many questions... Nobody can give suggestions because you are not specific.
