WayFinder problem with IE explorer 8 and flash banner

I have a wayfinder Navigation bar that has a swf right below it on the page. The drop down menus work in all browsers except in IE8. I can see the dropdown menu hide behind the swf banner instead of on top of it.

Any ideas on how to make the navigation appear on top of the swf banner?

Try adding a z-index to the navigation and banner, if that doesn’t work google wmode

Thanks, i just checked that and the wayfinder div already has an z-index of 1000. The flash is inside the editable content div and has an index of 300. I messed with the z-index a little but it makes no difference. And on every browser except IE it works. i also had the wmode set to transparent earlier, and it did not seem to make a difference. Still searching for a solution.

Are the elements that have a z-index positioned either relative or absolute ??

Also does the ul li ul have a z-index and positioned ??

Every time I have come across this problem it’s either z-index or wmode but all z-indexed elements need to be positioned.

All of the elements are absolute positioned. I added a z-index to the ul li ul and still no effect.

Thank you! it was the wmode. i missed where i had that set to window instead of transparent, and fixed it and now it works! thanks again.
