Wayfinder / UltimateParent - 2 level navi (top + sidebar) problem

Hello, I´m a total newbie to MODx, using Revolution.

I´ve been reading "The (almost) Complete Guide to Constructing Menus in MODx Using Wayfinder" and successfully managed to make a first level top horizontal menu.

However, I can´t get the second level vertical sidebar menu to work after following the instructions from the above mentioned documentation.

Code for the second level vertical menu (output displays the code):

I just cannot get this one to work, the output displays just the code itself.


(Also, I installed the snippets for Wayfinder and UltimateParent - and made Chunks for menuContainer and menuRows).

Whats wrong? What did I miss here?

I think you have to call UltimateParent UNcached...

First, change your Wayfinder call for the second menu using the tags for Revo (in the books that is not totally updated for Revo), and call UltimateParent UNcached should solve the problem

try this :


Add one bracket "[" at the beginning of the call, add one at the end, remove the "!" at the end, add one "!" in the UltimateParent call to make it uncached...
