yeeeeeeah! found the solution
in the div where I have my pure css drop down (mr haw, you made the lightbulb go off in my head), I added the link to my jquery file that I had already for a lightbox gallery, couldn’t add it in the header, it seems I always have to put the link to the file within the junks themselves which require it, anyway below that I added a chunk with the following:

</script>
now there are some issues that go with using this, but when it comes down to clean drop downs, it’s a must, from what I’ve heard revo has fixed the emptly title issue? in evo the empty title just produces a field that says untitled resource or something to that effect. I much rather would have like to move them a bit away from the cursor because the title attribute can make a great description in this case
I saw this actually a couple days ago, but it just occurred to me to put both the link and the chunk within my wayfinder div, I had put the js in the head of the template, and it didn’t work. Pretty lame of me considering that for everything else I have included the link and code with the html requiring it in the same chunk. ...not the best thing and I am sure page speed and yslow will be telling me I didn’t do it correctly in about five minutes...
I looked at source so google will still be able to read those titles, just no more of those annoying tooltips. and I believe there are accessibility issues, because I don’t know how screen readers read tags. But until I find a better solution...
