I am new to MODx and an amateur who is not very proficient in php. I want to add a wayfinder menu to a couple of templates. The tutorials and e-book left me a little overwhelmed.
I have successfully employed the minimum wayfinder snippet call: [[Wayfinder? &startId=`3` &level=`1`]]
The first wayfinder I want to customize seems pretty simple. I want to display one resource and only the children of that resource in a simple ul.
My resource tree would look like this:
All artists - selected resource
>>>>artist-1 - child
>>>>artist-2 - child
>>>>artist-3 - child
etc.
I can struggle through all of the CSS, but I can’t figure out the parameter to accomplish this.
THe second wayfinder I want to customize is pretty much the same but a little more complex. The resource included would have children (eg years) and grandchildren (eg months)

After I solve that problem, I would like to apply some sort of drop-down or accordion to the Children (years) and grandchildren (months.)
Please help me with the right wayfinder parameter or a tutorial that addresses the problem of selecting resources and susequent children. I will try to tackle the drop-down style or accordion js after I accomplish the basics, with your help. Thanks!!
