Wayfinder does not display menu items

    Hi all,

    I’m using two menus on our website, a main menu and a menu for specific information. This second menu has so far only show pages that were directly under the parent. Now I want to show pages that are not directly under the parent. Here I’m stuck.
    At the same time, I would like to make it possible that this menu can display pages of the entire site (makes it parent = `0`)

    Works:

    Doesn’t work:
    [!Wayfinder? &startId=`24` &includeDocs='35', '125', '36' &sortBy=`longtitle` &rowClass=`gerichte_info_menu_item` &level=`1` &limit=`7`!]


    The last part of code returns me the correct pages when I add the debug-parameter, but doesn’t show them on the site.

      Although I do not exactly understand your question, I can tell you that there is a mistake in your Wayfinder call:

      [tt]&includeDocs=’35’, ’125’, ’36’[/tt]

      should be [tt]&includeDocs=`35,125,36`[/tt]

      Backticks around all the IDs together instead of single quotes around each single ID.

        Thought of that, but it makes no difference.


        In short (hope it makes more sense):
        Problem: displaying single pages/menu-titles with includeDocs in a menu not direclty a child of the parent with the use of wayfinder.

          When I have two "main" menus (e.g. main menu for content and a service menu with credits, search, sitemap, contact and so on), then I create two containers in the menu structure.

          root
 -- main menu
 -- service menu


          Thus, I can call each menu with an individual Wayfinder call. If I understand you correctly, you could create web-links to the documents that should be shown in your secondary menu structure. These weblinks are placed in "service menu" and are links to documents/ressources in the main menu structure.

          Am I right?

            That could be a solution. But it doesn’t solve the problem with wayfinder not showing child of childs from the parent you define.

            It shouldn’t matter for SEO, if they’re excluded from every sitemap/google bot etc.
            If there’s no other possibility, then I can use the weblinks ofc.
