    Hi,

    I am using modx with the Andreas00 template, but with the revisited flyover menu from muddydogpaws.com.
    However, I don’t seem to manage that the submenu’s show when the mouse is hovered over the main menu.

    You can see how the menu looks at www.kwestievan.nu.
    Here’s is the example from muddydogpaws.com: http://www.muddydogpaws.com/development/wayfinder/examples/example-6.html

    I’ve created the chunks and created the css sheet, but for some reason, it won’t show it on my site as it does on the example.

    Can anyone shed a light on this ?

    cheers,
    Unforgiven.

      Hi Un,
      I think I see what’s wrong. Those Wayfinder demos are really great, but they sometimes don’t tell you certain things. They either forgot to mention it, or expect you to figure it out. smiley I assume you’re looking for the colored background, hovers, etc.

      Your site is including this CSS, which is only for the Andreas theme.
      /assets/templates/andreas00/andreas00.css

      However, you need more CSS. If you take a really close look at the demo, it’s also including this CSS, which is specific to the Revisited Flyout.
      /assets/templates/wayfinder/flyout_revisited.css

      I have used several of those special Wayfinder menus, and I’ve found it helpful to remember where that demo code is on your own MODx system. There are about five menu samples that come standard with MODx. smiley

      Cheers, Dave

        Hello Dave,

        well, i *did* create the css file which the chunk is referring to. But to no avail so far...I even put the css file in the template. so far, it doesn’t give me the result I want.

        cheers,

          Indeed. I was not referring to the chunk, per se. If the chunk is pointing to the the CSS that I was referring to, then there’s some other problem, like a mis-coded file path.

          But I can see, as plain as day, that you’re missing the CSS that I was referring to. I’ll give you an example. The following code block, which is crucial in styling the link on the demo, is entirely missing from your site:

          .menu a, .menu a:visited {
          background:none repeat scroll 0 0 #D4D8BD;
          border-color:#FFFFFF;
          border-style:solid;
          border-width:0 1px 1px 0;
          color:#000000;
          display:block;
          height:25px;
          line-height:25px;
          text-decoration:none;
          text-indent:5px;
          width:149px;
          }

          Even if you do pull in the CSS I mentioned, you’ll need to edit it. For instance, you don’t appear to have a ".menu" class in your HTML, so you would probably have to change ".menu" above to something like "#leftside". You’ll need to do more digging, in any case.

          Good luck, Dave
