I’m twisting my brain and stretching my patience trying to find a solution to my predicament and maybe a Modxpert can help.
Here’s the goal:
-Vertical Navigation -- site will have 3 levels of pages, with the first level being a main section BUT the sub sections should only show when that particular main section is active.
Example:
This is how it should look by default on the home page
HOME
MAIN SECTION1
MAIN SECTION2
MAIN SECTION3
MAIN SECTION4
And if you click on a main section, you will be taken to that page, and all it’s subpages will be shown in the menu.
Example:
You click MAIN SECTION2 and are taken to that page
HOME
MAIN SECTION1
MAIN SECTION2
Sub Page 1
Sub Page/Section 2
Sub Page 2.1
Sub Page 2.2
MAIN SECTION3
MAIN SECTION4
This would be the same for all the sections (in that the corresponding sub-sections only show once that main section page link has been clicked).
Initially tried setting up an Accordion menu but that was overkill and realized that adding &hideSubMenus=`true` does what I want (sort of). The problem with that parameter is that there is no way to control how many levels of submenus are displayed when something is clicked.
Based on the list of navigation I listed above, if you click Main Section 2 while using &hideSubMenus then you only see the first level of submenus while I’d like to display ALL submenus items (including those multiple levels down such as Sub Page 2.2). Is there any way to accomplish this?
