Sharing Work

Hi All,

Just completed a website in develompent using Modx Revolution 2.0.8-pl. We’re just making some final tweaks at the moment before launch, but I’d like to share it here and see if you guys notice anything glaring. I’ve gotten the load time down about as far as it can go with my limited knowledge of compression, etc... And there are still a few areas where I could reduce lag by combining multiple snippet calls into one custom snippet.

It’s hosted on godaddy.com, Linux / 4GH Web Hosting, PHP 5.2, MySQL 5.

These are the packages being used:

galleriffic
getresourcefield
getresources
googlesitemap
metax
phpthumbof
quickcrumbs
simplesearch
tinymce
ultimateparent
wayfinder

Any feedback or critiques are welcome... I just wanted to share this with the community, it’s been about three months in dev, with 800+ pages of content.

Gotta say I gave become a mod-ex-vangelist. Just did another project in Drupal and while it has it’s features, Modx is just slick and awesome. Great job to all the development team! Especially to BobRay and SplittingRed, your comments and tutorials have been totally invaluable.

Thanks Modx!

Dang! It definitely makes me want to travel north from Texas with my family, and on that note I’m thinking you’ve done a great job.
