Hi All,
Basically wondering what the best way to integrate a forum into modx might be. By integrate I guess I mean share user lists and login status.
I’m sure there’s a good answer to this that I just dont seem to be able to find. Having searched around a bit.. there’s a smf integration plugin which was last active in 2008 - so pre revolution. There’s also a bunch of blog articles about it, but they all seem to refer to that release back in 2008.
It doesn’t have to be SMF, I’d be happy with most any forum.. it just seems thats the one which get’s mentioned most often.

You might want to check into discuss (

SMF is mentioned frequently because that’s what MODx is currently using for these forums. There is a beta project using the native MODx Discus, and so far it seems to be going well.
Vanilla has a fairly simple integration system; I have it documented here (for Evo, but the principle would be the same with Revo)
