Using Template Variables for Dynamic excludeDocs

I have a sitemap which relies upon the Show in Menu [x] checkbox, but this causes me a problem -- the primary navigation also uses Show in Menu and there are certain menu items I do not want showing in the primary navigation.

I’ve used excludeDocs, but it is manual and requires the user to remember that any new documents created must also be excluded manually (assuming they want them excluded).

I want to use a Template Variable to store the value of the page so that excludeDocs is dynamic and can be chosen at will by the user.

How do you make a dynamic excludeDocs using Template Variables?

I have a feeling this requires a snippet that will grab the values of the respective TVs from the other documents and include them in the sitemap’s wayfinder call...hmm..but am also wondering if &ignoreHidden can’t be somehow used....am blank atm
