Hi,
I tried to construct a navigation where, if a document in the tree has childs, only these childs are displayed.
Example:
Documenttree:
1. Home
2. Service
2.1 contact
2.2 author
3. Something else
So... if you start visiting the homepage, you should get in the navigation:
Home
Service
Something else
and when clicking on "Service" the navigation should read:
contact
author
I read several threads by searching this forum and came up with the solution:
[!Wayfinder? &startId=`[[UltimateParent]]` &level=`1`!]
... but it doesn’t work quite the way I expected. If I start visiting the site (that is: calling "home") nothing will display in menu, it is gone.
When I specify the URL to show the page called "service" (
http://127.0.0.1/R_modx/index.php?id=3), there is a navigation shown like I wanted to:
contact
author
So why isn’t there any navigation shown when parent is root ?
...and if I may add a question: Is it possible to get a link in each sub-menu (like the contact/author is one) redirecting to "home" ?
