getting clicked parent to first child?

On one of my top level links I need it that when clicked actully goes to the first child not its own page, could someone explain to me how to achive this? im looking through the wayfinder wiki but getting confused.

I can’t find it now, but you can use the snippet FirstChildRedirect....search for it in the forums...
