Wayfinder - odd behavior with Home page link.

I have a site where I’m using the basic Wayfinder call [!Wayfinder? &startID=0!].

With FURLs on and a suffix of .hml, all links except the home page show http://domain.com/title.html but the home page link is just domain.com -- no pagetitle, no suffix.

Have I done something wrong, or is this normal for Wayfinder?

The reason it matters is that SPForm uses the HTTP_REFERER to create a "take me back" link and it breaks if the user goes to the contact page from the home page.

Having a similar issue- critical "crunch time" delivery on a project, and I’m passing a variable on the URL line, using _GET to change the language on each page. All works good for other links, but the site start link breaks because it isn’t using the entire path to the file. This is NOT good.

Not sure how to work around this!

I have noticed this before...it is the way Wayfinder has always worked (as far as i know). The code that does this is:

@ line 378 of wayfinder.inc.php

} elseif ($tempDocInfo['id'] == $modx->config['site_start']) {
					$tempDocInfo['link'] = $modx->config['site_url'];

This should be a configuration...but I think it’s purpose is to avoid links with home.html in them if not necessary. Should be able to comment that out and have it work like the other documents.

Oh my god- that has so saved my bacon!

I was able to use Ditto to generate a very similar menu type (I’m not using submenus, so it was fairly straight ahead), but I use another wayfinder call to generate another menu that appears on one of the content pages. Only with wayfinder will it keep the "parent" link classed as active for me.
