newbie to modx - been trying to place an image on our website which needs to have a link to another webpg. the image will be replacing a section which normally shows upcoming meetings. can’t find the module(?) which shows this section so that i can alter it. tried to put the image in the calendar - it’s not showing up. tried to get help from the w designer but he’s busy. my deadline to do this was up 4 days ago.

sorry to say, i inherited this job and know zero about modx, a little about codes - sure you don’t want to spend a lot of time with someone who doesn’t speak the language, but i’m in dire straits here and i have got to get this image up tonight. can’t sleep until it’s working right. please help. undecided

still awake...praying someone will have a heart and at least shed a little light on this. i’m sure it’s not that complicated, but the layout is not what i’m used to looking at. can’t anyone spare just 10 mins.? huh

tick tock tick tock - no other place to really be - promise i’ll go away and never come back if somebody, some wonderful superhero would just spare a little kindness to help an old woman out. really, it’s like a granny standing at the traffic light and no one is stopping to let her cross. come on people.

It’s not a matter of "going away and never coming back". This is a rather vague question.

First of all you need to say what version of MODx you are using; I work with Evolution (1.xxx versions) and can’t help if you’re using Revolution (2.xxx)

I understand that you’re new to MODx, but we really can’t help unless we know more about what you have and what you want to do with it. Is the current display of the upcoming meetings generated by a snippet? Is it a hard-coded display in a resource (document or page)?

i’m not able to find the upcoming meetings anywhere in the backend, that would make me guess that it’s a snippet. if it wasn’t then it should show up in a resource, correct?

That’s not the version, that’s the revision of the version. If you’re in Evo, the version information will be in the upper right corner of the screen, like this; the version is 1.0.5

Ok, we’re in business here. That’s an older version of Evo.

In the resource tree (on the left) open the relevant resource for editing. You should see snippet tags like [[...]] or [!...!]

As an aside (and also for anyone else who may read this thread) the very generic title of your post will frequently get your post skipped over; it doesn’t give any idea as to what your problem is. Try something like "How to edit content of a page" or something similar to that to get a faster response. I’ve already been answering posts for two hours this morning, and had started going through to check all posts with 0 replies. Most of the community doesn’t have that kind of time to spend on the forums, so it’s important to make your needs clear in the subject so those who can deal with such issues will see it at a glance.

so appreciative for the insight. i’m looking at the tree and the resource to edit is the calendar (i’m guessing) but i don’t see the brackets you are talking about.
