[solved] Wayfinder Home-Link doesn't work

Hi!

I’m a quite newbie working with MODx, so please have some understanding for my beginner problems. I searched through a lot of posts in this forum, but I couldn’t find any solution for my current problem.

I have a menu with 5 main entries and everything works well, except when I click on e.g. the menu-entry Contact that leads to contact.html, the menu-entry for Home that leads to the starting page doesn’t work anymore. The link shown in the status-line of the browser then shows to contact.html. If I surf to the Team-Page (team.html) the link on Home shows to team.html. So I cannot navigate back to the Home of the site.

My call for Wayfinder is ...

[[Wayfinder?startId=`0` &outerTpl=`mh.OuterTpl` &innerTpl=`mh.InnerTpl` &rowTpl=`mh.RowTpl` &innerRowTpl=`mh.InnerRowTpl` &firstClass=`first` &hereClass=``]]

When I look into the source-code, there is written ...

<a href="" title="home">Home</a>
No path is given for href.

I’m working with
MODx 0.9.6.3 and
Wayfinder 2.0

Does anybody know, what I can do to solve this problem?

I solved the problem by myself

Maybe it’s not the proper way, but now it works.

Solution:

In the index.php I set the variable base_path to ...

$base_path = ’http://www.mydomain.com’;

The better way is probably to write ...

<base href="[(base_url)]"></base>

instead of

<base href="[(site_url)]"></base>

into the template.
