[solved] Menu not showing up on child pages

Hi,

I recently started using Modx (lovin’ it), and have been doing pretty well with finding answers to my problems in the forums and documentation, but I have a couple of wayfinder issues that I can’t see to figure out on my own.

One is that I have a document at the root level with 8 children. This document id is 7 and I can get the wayfinder menu I want (links in the page) to display properly on this document, but can’t get the same menu to display on any of the children.

I am using which is in the document body of document 7. I can’t get this (or variants of it including &levels=`99`) to work either in the template or the documents of the children. If it is of any relevance, the wp.textlist chunk I created is: <a href="[+wf.link+]" title="[+wf.title+]" class="link">[+wf.linktext+]</a><br class="hide" />

Can anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

If you pasted your Wayfinder call from your site, I think I know what’s wrong. Change &startid to &startId (upper case ’i’) .

Ah ha! Yes that was it. Strangely though I posted that from the page that is working. Nonetheless changing the i to I on the child pages has them working as well.

I would feel like a real idiot, but I’m just happy you helped me get it fixed.

P.s. I see I also wrote "levels" instead of "level". Hmm like my Drill Sergeants long ago advised, I better pay more attention to detail, else I might get someone killed.

That’s most likely because &startId defaults to 0.

I’m glad it was that easy.
