    Hi all,

I want to start working with modx, but I need to make sure it fully supports hebrew sites.
Can anyone tell me this? Does anyone know of some sites that were built with modx (Hebrew)?

    Thanks,
    Meytal

Yes, it does. Just make sure your database is properly set to utf-8. There are a few different utf8 collations that make a difference in Hebrew if you’re using nikudot. My Hebrew isn’t good enough to actually do Hebrew sites, but I’ve worked with it enough to know it works just fine.

This board doesn’t get a lot of activity, but some of the posters may be watching it.

I’m using modx evolution for hebrew sites, take a look at bikes4all.org.il for example.
As susan said, the major thing is to get the database encoding right, other then that there is a minor issue if you want to use hebrew urls but there is a fix for that. I have not tried using the modx backend manager translated to hebrew so I have no idea how well that works.

looks good to me for simple cms sites.
as long as modx supports rtl & db entries in hebrew.
which utf-8 would i use in db?
which modx cms should i use?

          thanks for the replies.
