I know sort by template variable is not possible? What would be the best way...

So I realize that you can’t sort by a tv with wayfinder.

What I am trying to do (or have done successfully with wayfinder but the list isn’t sorting properly) is create a document tree where there is a category and a list of items under that category. I want to order the list by episode number. I was going to use the menu index number to enter the episode numbers but this number (season and episode) has the potential of being more then 3 digits (e.g. 1015 - season 10 episode 15)

I need to wrap a div around the list in order to do some ajax stuff to it.

I don’t think this is possible with ditto.

Not sure I understand but I want to say to try using Ditto for this. You might need to combine ditto with wayfinder (or ditto within ditto) to get what you want. Rember that you can run wayfinder inside a ditto call (and the opposite). Sometimes staking snippes is the way to go.

I think the best way to do this would be to use the menu index field and jsut display the episode number sans season.

Each category differentiates the season so there shouldn’t be any confusion.
