First item in menu doesn't show link

The first item in my menu displays the background image, but doesn’t display the text for the tab name. However, the link is active, and if you hover over the tab the alternate name displays. I’ve scoured the forum and have found nothing even remotely similar to this. I’ve played with css settings a good portion of today with no success. I had a similar issue earlier today when I had inserted a text-indent statement which moved the link text from the secondary tabs. Removed that css statement and the text returned.

Any suggestions would be most helpful for this newbie.

I finally found the culprit...after digging and digging. The problem was with the automatic class="active" setting applied by Wayfinder. Although I played with the css, could not get it to change the layout of that particular tab. Found another posting that gave the instructions for adding ( &hereClass=`` &lastClass=`` ) to disable the builtin class definitions. Fixed my problem.
