[+wf.classes+] does not output value in InnerTpl

Hello,
did anyone had this problem with InnerTpl?
<ul [+wf.classnames+]>
[+wf.wrapper+]
</ul>
does not output any class name. I need an .active class to style my menu, but it does not output any class name.
Could anyone help me with this?
