Wayfinder problem - starting levels

I have installed the latest version of Wayfinder and am using it as a left hand navigations for sub pages.
I want to be able to begin the navigation based on it’s parent page - seems like a really simple thing to do, but am totally going round in circles.

Can someone please help - I’ve looked at the wiki and the example on muddydogpaws and i’m lost!

That’s fixed it for the top level, but when I select a link and go to that page the navigation vanishes altogether.

Any ideas?

I’m not sure I understand what you mean.
Do you have a link or if not post your document structure.
If you have two menus, one for the top level pages (main Menu) and one for child pages (sub menu) then :
(main Menu)
(sub menu)
Should output an unordered list for the main menu & if there are any child pages another for the sub menu.

The site I’m working on is - http://64.20.54.34/~dams/

The top level links {home : about : what’s on :...} are hand coded, not in wayfinder. When you select one of them I’d like it to only show the links below that specific section - about has two pages at the moment.

But when you select one of the links under about - the navigation vanishes.

I’ll try your latest suggestion and see if that gets me closer.

It seems as if you have the main Wayfinder call in there, commented out.
