Wayfinder redirect to localhost

I am new here, so please forgive any blunders.

I have created a site using ModX (0.9.6.1 I believe) on my local computer (Apache, mysql). Works great. I just moved stuff up to a web server and stuff seems right mostly, but...

I have some Wayfinder snippets that initially link to the web site page, but after I click one, links for some go to localhost. Is there an obvious thing I should look at?

A few notes:
1) The Wayfinder calls are very simple => [!Wayfinder? &startId=’22’ !] for example where 22 is a container with related pages.
2) I am using the same template for all the pages in question.
3) This is the first time I have moved a ModX site from one server to another.
4) On initial entry to the site (whether from the manager or directly by surfing to the url), all the links seem to point to the correct (remote) location. Subsequent surfing to the location results in a localhost reference in the link.

Have you checked your .htaccess file.

If you set your site up to use friendly URLs then you’ve probably added the directory that was on your localhost.

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /my-first-website/

Have you cleared the cache. Sometimes when work locally I forget to clear the cache when I get it up online.

Given Wayfinder is dynamic my guess is you’ve hardcoded the local links to how you had it set up on your local install.

Otherwise try re-uploading, maybe the upload went bad.

It seems like they’re actually 404 errors, and Modx sends you back to the default 404 page, which is the home page.

Try clearing the site cache. That usually happens after transferring a site. Also, check your configuration and make sure the paths are correct.
