How to have Wayfinder include pages contained in an unpublished document?

I use Wayfinder to show a human-readable sitemap for my website. However, I have some sections that are "hidden" in a unpublished document (just for sorting purposes). How do I get Wayfinder to look at those?

Did you find a solution yourself yet? I ran into this to and did not find a solution.

so you want wayfinder to see the unpubbed documents? or the not in menu options? for the 2nd you can use &ignoreHidden=`1` the first is not really usable anyway why having documents listed that you can not reach anyway?

no we want to see docs in an unpublished container. Dont wat to see the containing document.

The why: I use these containers as category folders and dont want them in the menu, but the docs inside I would like to see in the menu.

so you want to skip the unpubbed folders?

mm never used that before but I see why you would like to do that.
I think that maybe another script would do that but in wayfinder there is no option now.

You mean Ditto, cause Ditto can but the is not a ouput of that real CSS menu

How would Ditto be used to do that? I never could wrap my head around that snippet (partially because the documentation is geared towards people who already have a knowledge of the script, instead of a new person learning about it)?

basically you can create a ditto call that will eg have output in a box (chunk) and a parameter to use would be

&hideFolders (Don’t show folders in the returned results).
