There is a specific Breadcrumbs snippet that does this easily. It is packaged with the installer so if you installed the default snippets it is already available in your copy copy of MODx. It is also in the repository if you did not install the default snippets.
In the example the four lines represent the corresponding tpl chunks. It is rather simplified but once you get used to how Wayfinder works it will make sense. But I recommend using the breadcrumbs snippet.
