    wayfinder is outputting like this -

    <ul><li class="link current"><a href="" >Page 1</a></li>
    <li class="link"><a href="" >Page 2</a></li></ul>

    I need to remove my level class "link" for the active item which is called "current" and also wrap all links in the <span> element like this:

    <ul><li class="link current"><a href="" ><span>Page 1</span></a></li>
    <li class="link"><a href="" ><span>Page 2</span></a></li></ul>

      You need to set a custom &hereTpl like this:
      <li class="current"><a href="" >
      	<span>[+wf.linktext+]</span></a>
      	[+wf.wrapper+]
      </li>

      And also a &rowTpl to add the span tags which can be the same as the hereTpl but with a different class:
      <li class="link"><a href="" >
      	<span>[+wf.linktext+]</span></a>
      	[+wf.wrapper+]
      </li>

      You could also use the custom class features of Wayfinder. Check out the docs for all the options:

        Something is happening here, but you don&#39;t know what it is.
