    So here goes: Hi! grin

Well, first of all, I wanted to say thanks for the help I got with my first few minor coding ehhr.. errors rolleyes

I’m a dutch guy from the city of Haarlem, name’s Marinus and want to point out that MODx so far seems to me like the most flexible framework I’ve seen so far. Don’t have much experiences with other frameworks because well.. I just gave up on them after a few hours of trying to get stuff done.
Guess it’s time to show my first attempt in here also so go on, check it out, yeah smiley

I’ve been working on the design for maybe 30 minutes to an hour, after that I just started looking for a framework and within a week (around 10-20 hours of work total approx. including just messing around with it wink) I managed to get this site running for what you can see.
There is a lot of stuff to be finished on it, also a lot of optional things that I decided to keep out of the site at the last minute and I’ll maybe remove that you have to click the image before you see the description. I don’t think it’s a functional thing, even though it looks cleaner without all the descriptions, I value my text I put in there and well, using fancy stuff without a concept just isn’t ’my thing.’

Happy to have found this, I’m not a programmer, I’m usually a print designer so this is a big step!

    From Holland with love,
    - Marinus

Thanks! For now I’m not making any money off of MODx and I’m not planning to either so I will definately ask anything that I come across wink

Also I think it’s important to share ’complete’ solutions once someone has figured out the problem.
In a lot of topics I see that they just die after some time..

Going to teach a little MODx to a friend of mine this week, she is a designer too and looking forward to learning new skills like working with MODx. Great stuff!!

          Hi and welcome to MODX

I have a cat the same (same same)as yours also taps me on the hand.
My cat is a female but is unusual for a ginger cat. Getting near to 15 now. A real pest.
