different button for each wayfinder menu item?

Hello community.

The title says it -

I am wondering if anyone has a method for implementing different buttons for each item/category in the wayfinder menu?

I would like to use a tab interface on this site for the top navigation to improve usability. However, I need different length tabs for each item so the navbar will still fit the horizontal page width.

Can we have unique buttons with each wayfinder menu category item?

I think that I would do this with CSS. Create a WayFinder template that includes class="itemnameplaceholder" and then just style each button according to its class. There are probably ways to do this using the link attributes field, so people who have used this method can chime in and give more details.

Yep. That thread has both of the ways that I was imagining doing it. The link attributes method seems to be the most straightforward.
