I didn’t find anything searching here, but has anyone else noticed that if you use displayStart, and the start document is set to not show in menu, Wayfinder dies? As in no output whatsoever. Set the start document to show in menu and all is well.
From svn 0962, version 3282, stock installation. Basic Wayfinder call:
[[Wayfinder? &startId=`4` &level=`1` &displayStart=`1`]]
Interesting, never noticed that and I use displayStart regularly. It makes sense that it would break, the other option would be to only break the start part and let the remaining menu alone.

I can see how that’s the easiest way to code it, but it would make more sense if it were to be displayed as the header under all conditions, even if it’s unpublished it just can’t have the id set as a placeholder in its template so a link can’t be made for it. That could even be done in the template processing stage. If it’s unpublished, replace code that tries to display it as a link with the pagetitle.
It can be worked around by creating another root-level document that is unpublished to contain the container.
