Parent class, but only if children are shown

I’m using Wayfinder 2.0 and Modx 0.9.6.2.

I have wayfinder call working fine for a site menu, and I have added a parentClass successfully. However, this adds the class to a "hasChildren" link even if its children are hidden in the menu. I only want it adding to links that have children that are shown.

Any hints on hacking the code, or any alternatives would be great.

Nine months on, another site, and coming across the same problem led me to search the forums... and returned my own post!

Any one got any ideas yet?

Although it honours exclusions (hidden, deleted, excludeDocs parameters) when it outputs the data, there is still something in the logic such that when it checks if a doc has a parent, it is checking all docs, not just the valid ones.
