Dropmenu &textOfLinks attribute not working properly

    Hello,

    I’ve been trying to get Dropmenu to show the text of links not as pagetitle, but longtitle or alias or whatever and it fails. Here’s how I call DM:

    [!DropMenu? &selfAsLink=`true` &removeNewLines=`true` &textOfLinks=`longtitle` &levelLimit=`1`!]


    It results in only the first element in my menu to show the actual longtitle text, the rest just shows the pagetitle. FWIW menu items are folders and am running modx 0.9.6.1.

    Any ideas?

      Dropmenu has been deprecated for a really long time. Use Wayfinder instead.

        Aha, that works as expected.. maybe in the next modx version Dropmenu can have a note saying it’s deprecated?

          We try not to remove or alter existing resources as sites are upgraded as a general rule of thumb. DropMenu hasn’t been included with MODx for a while I don’t think.

            I stand corrected, you’re absolutely right, there’s no Dropmenu in the latest version.
