How to tell wayfinder, only to output folders.

have somebody an idea how to tell wayfinder, only to output the folders without the subitems.

means:

folder1 output
subitem1 don’t output
folder2 output
subitem1 don’ output

use &hideSubMenus=`1` ... please verify the spellings of "Menus" if its "Menu" in the docs though.

but do you have an idea how to output only the subitems of the currently accessed folder.

means:
folder1(user is currently accessing) don’t output
subitem1 output
subitem2 output
folder2(isn’t accessed) don’t output

use &startId=`put_parent_ID_here` in your wayfinder call. You could also automate by dynamically finding the parent start ID.

You could use the UltimateParent snippet which you could set to look X levels deep and start at X level in order to always get the parent for the sub pages.

From the docs:

* @example [[UltimateParent? &topLevel=`2`]]
* Will find the ultimate parent of the current document at a depth of 2 levels
* in the document hierarchy, with the root level being level 1.

So for example:
[!Wayfinder?startId=`[[UltimateParent? &topLevel=`2`]]`!] should get you the id of the ID of the second level parent or the first sub level.

Take note of the different cache types of the nested snippets calls; the outer snippet uncached and the inner snippet cached. [!outerSnippet? ... [[innerSnippet? ...]] ... !]
