Hi;
I’m looking to setup a plugin [or snippet] that will send a user an email notice that their account has been activated by the admin.
I see the OnUserActivate event, but that won’t do the trick as our setup has users accounts activated by the admin only....
Is there an event that fires when a user is activated in the mgr context?

There’s a plugin called ActivationEmail that will do it for you.

thanks - exactly what I needed....
small little issue though, had a little trouble getting the deactivation email to be sent.
line 71 of the plugin reads:
$deactivationEmailTpl = $modx->getOption('deactivationEmailTpl,$scriptProperties','DeactivationEmailTpl');
should be:
$deactivationEmailTpl = $modx->getOption('deactivationEmailTpl',$scriptProperties,'DeactivationEmailTpl');
