We’re interested in your thoughts on how you currently use the built in stats...

I’m a seo fan

, than never thout to disable stasts in modx.
I know that stats is not indispensable in cms, but shoud be a view ’on the fly’ of user access.
In important modx sites I use modx stats with other dedicated scripts (like , phpstats, awstats).
So far, I’ve been using the built-in stat as a stat overview for clients. I think the built in stats could be of use to end users/clients if they were made more user friendly, not necessarily as competition to third party solutions.
That would mean more graphics and less numbers (like the Executive Overview on Google Analytics). Maybe even fetch data elsewhere and have it displayed (don’t know if it can be done though).
Anyway, I use both the built in stats and third party stats (either google analytics or hosting service stats,or in some case third party php/mysql aps).

Hi
I use Awstats to analyze my apache logs.
I do not want to put stats information in my database.
aour
I am forced to use Webalizer at the moment, but if I had a choice I’d use AWstats since it logs robots and malicious codes differently and I can also filter out my own IP which adds a lot of hits
I turned of MODx stats sinec it seemed pointless wasting resources as Apache already create logs.
cheers.
I use them...they’re ok, they get the job done!
But SlimStats and Mint are GREAT!
I think it would be good to pull out the stats and implement them as a plugin. Then we could add an event into MODx specifically for calling the stats. From there the stats could be brought up in a similar manner to what it is now except the stats could be from any source...Mint, SlimStats, etc.

Glad to know
it can be done
About Slimstat : it’s nice yes but it lacks some sugar coating (graphics), a bit dry... also if there is a password I couldn’t set it up, had to add an htpassword to the folder...
