It seems MODx revo since 2.1 does not support MODx API like
$result = $modx->db->query( ’SELECT * FROM `modx_site_content` LIMIT 0 , 30’ );
Is that true?
This seems to be a problem for many sites if they will run upgrade.
MODx team did not announce this major change...
Yes, the ’db’ object has gone, it was announced as part of the ’deprecated API’ notifications.
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!
then it’s sad but true:( some sites built on Revo <2.1 won’t be upgraded unless quite a bit extra work....
anyway - hope MODx gets better and better and keeps growing:)
Thanks splittingred for the links:)

I dare saying that was announced the day 2.0.0-pl was released (or even before) and that developers have been urged to move as soon as possible since then. Saying that the "modx team did not announce such a major change" is quite a bold statement
Most of the addons in the repo have been updated by now, so if you have the latest versions installed there’ll be limited problems. Of course, if you did a lot of custom coding with the DBAPI you’ll have more work to do...
