Hello,
I recently upgraded to ModX Evo 1.0.5, the site home works correctly but all the child resources throw a blank page.
Eg. mysite.com/home works fine, but mysite/home/contactus does not work, where contactus is not a container and its parent is home.
Any such child resource is a white page.
If I move the same child document a level above as a parent , it opens fine.
Please can anyone advice, I guess the problem is with the parsing of the source.
Please help.

What do your error logs say? Check the Manager’s Logs -> System Events. Usually a white page is because there is an error that’s being suppressed on the displayed page.
This is most likely an issue with a snippet, TV or plugin. You can disable all plugins, then add them back one-at-a-time to see if any of them are causing the problem, as well as removing snippets and TV tags from the template or resource content. Basically, get a bare-bones page with just its content to work, then see what’s breaking it.
When you upgraded, did you also upgrade all the snippets? Some of them have changed their parameters (especially in the case of upgrading from an older 0.9.x version) and any snippet calls using them need to be updated as well. I usually avoid upgrading the snippets from a really old version (don’t upload assets/snippets and clear the snippets’ checkboxes during the install stage), then upgrade them manually one-at-a-time at leisure later.
You also could have a big problem if you customized any of the default installed elements or any of the MODx core files, instead of renaming them and using the modified renamed version and modifying core behavior with plugins. The upgrade process would have overwritten your customized version if it was using the same name.
HI,
Thanks a lot for that help.
I did a lot of debugging, & the problem was with the tmplvars.command.inc.php - ProcessTVCommand() method.
Here’s it -
I have a header image whose default value is "@INHERIT assets/images/header-images/default.jpg". The mergedocumentcontent() was failing to return while merging "header-image".
I studied the ProcessTVCommand() method & it has been modified in 1.0.5. It does not consider the @INHERIT binding anymore.Hence, the ProcessTVCommand() followed by mergedocumentcontent() and parsedocumentsource() everything failed.
I used the tmplvars.command.inc.php from older version (1.0.4) and it works fine.
Is this a bug with the new version ? Else, any suggestion if I should change my default value of my TV OR modify the tmplvars.command.inc.php.
FYI: I upgraded from 1.0.4 to 1.0.5
Thanks Again
