I am new to Modx and have read several articles and run through a couple of tutorials just to understand how everything works, however there is something I seemed to have missed along the way and wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction.
I am the sole IT guy where I work and would like Modx as our intranet, however, what will the backend look like to non-technical users who will just be uploading pictures, updating company news, company events in a calender, etc? Are they expected to click on the "Resources" tab or the "Elements" tabs and drill their way through the tree? I was hoping for some kind of form that they can complete, for each section, and click "Submit" or similar. Ultimately, I will be the person who creates the site but I don’t want to be the one who has to update news items on a regular basis.
Any help would be appreciated.
I’m using Revo. I shall have a look at Frontpage. Thanks for your help.

I typically just hide whatever content editors don’t need (and that usually includes the elements tab) and give them access to the manager.
Also using form customization you can simplify the resource forms to let them only fill in what is needed based on the template it’s using.
Not a fan of front-end editing here.
