    Hello Ottogal!

    Wow, I kind of get what you mean - and I think you’re right, we need the opposite of (A,.pdf,8|B,.pdf,8|C,.pdf,8) - (which I would have thought before your explanation was (A,.pdf,7|B,.pdf,7|C,.pdf,7) - as that returns everything but the docs I need.

    The old double negative!

    This is tricky.

    Mmmm.

    ps - thanks for the pickup of &seeThruUnpub=`1`

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logical_disjunction Doesn’t work like this?

      Yesterday I tried this:

      &filter=`tvpdf1,.pdf,7|tvpdf2,.pdf,7|tvpdf3,.pdf,7`

      But it isn’t working. Why?

        Hi microcipcip, your guess is as good as mine.

        As a non programmer, that’s how I would have thought it would work. Well, it seems logical to me to do it that way but unfortunately it produces only one result (the one page that has all 3 pdf files).

        Wow, this is a tough one.

        Does anybody else have any ideas to make it work dynamically?

          Another idea:
          Instead of using three TVs
          [+product-download-catalogue+] (id=11)
          [+product-download-install-manual+] (id=12)
          [+product-download-technical+] (id=13)
          create a single one [tt]pdf_TV[/tt] of Input Type [tt]checkbox[/tt] and the contents of your three TVs above (that is, the links to the pdf files) as [tt]Input Option Values[/tt] .
          Let empty the [tt]Default Value[/tt] .
          For [tt]Widget[/tt] select [tt]Delimited List[/tt] .
          Then in your Ditto call take this [tt]&filter[/tt] parameter: [tt]&filter=`pdf_TV,.pdf,7`[/tt]
          So only if none of the options of the list of pdfs is checked the [tt]pdf_TV[/tt] will not contain the string [tt].pdf[/tt] and consequently will be filtered out.
          (I didn’t try this, just a "thought experiment"...)

              Hi Ottogal,

              I am getting confused - I tried what you suggested but haven’t got it working.

              Perhaps if the checkbox had a file upload capability upon checking the relevant box...

              If every product has the capability to have different pdfs, would the TV input options values need to be?
              Catalogue==[+product-download-catalogue+]||
              Installation Manual==[+product-download-install-manual+]||
              Technical Data==[+product-download-technical+]

              At this late hour nothing is making sense anymore!

              Thanks again for your help.

                Catalogue==[+product-download-catalogue+]||...
                Here instead of the TV [tt][+product-download-catalogue+][/tt] you should insert the value you used for this TV. The Variable [tt][+product-download-catalogue+][/tt] itself is not used anymore.
                To be sure: Please show us the definition of [tt][+product-download-catalogue+][/tt] and also one of your chunks like [tt]{{products-brand1-product2}}[/tt] (containing a pdf).

                  Hi Ottogal,

                  I am thinking manuel manual might be a lot easier - this is a little above my pay scale (= understanding)!

                  Please show us the definition of [+product-download-catalogue+]

                  I have attached a screen cap - that was a file input style TV [+product-download-catalogue+]

                  The chunks themselves are different wayfinder calls for different products - the pdf’s for individual products are inserted by referencing the current TV’s with phx.

                  Example chunk contents:
                  [[Wayfinder? &startId=`170` &level=`2` &ignoreHidden=`true` &displayStart=`true` &startItemTpl=`prod-table_start` &outerTpl=`prod-table_wrapper_4col` &rowTpl=`prod-table-4col-row`]]

                  wayfinder row template:
                    <tr>
                     <td class="col41">[+wf.title+]</td>
                     <td class="col42">[+wf.description+]</td>
                     <td class="col43"> <a href="[+product-image+]" rel="lightbox" title="[+wf.title+] : [+wf.description+]"><img src="[+product-image+]" id="[+wf.docid+]" /></a> </td>
                     <td class="col44"> [+phx:if=`[+product-download-catalogue+]`:isnot=``:then=`<a href="[+product-download-catalogue+]" title="Catalogue for [+wf.title+]" target="blank"><img src="/equity/images/mix/pdf-icon.png" /></a>`+] [+phx:if=`[+product-download-install-manual+]`:isnot=``:then=`<a href="[+product-download-install-manual+]" title="Installation Manual for [+wf.title+]" target="blank"><img src="/equity/images/mix/pdf-icon-Y.png" /></a>`+] [+phx:if=`[+product-download-technical+]`:isnot=``:then=`<a href="[+product-download-technical+]" title="Technical Data for [+wf.title+]" target="blank"><img src="/equity/images/mix/pdf-icon-B.png" /></a>`+] </td>
                    </tr>

                  What do you reckon, is this in the too hard basket?

                  Have a great weekend.

                    Have you tried the Tagging extender? (I did not, but it came into my mind.)

                      I hadn’t (I have never heard of it before now) - I reckon this is beyond my limited expertise so have posted in the commercial bounty section if you or anyone reading this are interested:
