Is there any built-in way to make a new resource (or Static Resource, or WebLink) a member of a particular resource group? Or does this have to be done via a plugin as outlined here:

Thanks!

I think you’d need a plugin, although the plugin would be much simpler than the one in that topic.

I think this, tied to OnBeforeDocFormSave, would do it:
```
<?php
if ($mode === modSystemEvent::MODE_NEW) {
    $resource->joinGroup('MyResourceGroup');
}
```
If that doesn’t work, connect it to OnDocFormSave and use this:
```
<?php
if ($mode === modSystemEvent::MODE_NEW) {
    $resource->joinGroup('MyResourceGroup');
    $resource->save();
}
```
