    Afteroon all,

I have implemented a nice dynamic menu using wayfinder and ultimate_drop.css. My basic problem is that all is well in firefox 3.6.3 but in IE 8, the parent of my only drop menu has a duplicate menu background image just under the title block. As in the menu looks fine except for a duplicate image, it is not extended but has a duplicate item image block just under it, I have tried to debug using the developer tools; setting the browser mode to IE 7 clears the issue!!!

I wish I could show it working but I am still on local dev at the moment but I have added an image of the problem, please see the attached image.

I have also looked in what the CSS is actually producing and came across something strange:
Within the first <li> where the substructure of the menu lives in a <table> there is also another <li> which belongs to one of the other parent menu items (parent even though no children exist) there is no reason for this menu element to be present with this <li> as it is duplicated here and does exist on the main menu parent level.
I hope that makes some sense, I am not sure of this is causing the problem, it is not present in the source of the web only in the IE developer tools.

Any help solving this strange IE 8 issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards

    Yosh
