    Quick intro.

We are developing/rolling out a web site with ModX for a large religious organization. I have been reading these forums and am amazed at the knowledge and general guru-ness of ModX hackers.

I am not anywhere near your level of PHP programing skills. I can say that because its pretty true no matter who is reading it.

However, I need a document sharing solution.
    - Possibly gallery like. Previews would be nice. I have looked for a php script to roll my own. I am willing to settle for less function to use built in ModX functionality.

    SO, I need it to,
    -Upload external files. doc,txt,pdf etc.
-Easy uploading of said files and downloading. ( I have little confidence in their tech skills.)
-Have commenting on said files via UserComments or similar.
    -User access restrictions.

    Generally speaking.

I know ModX must already do this some how, but I can not synthesize a method with my current knowledge of ModX.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Try to look for document manager in thif forum, created by sottwell (Susan). You might wanna talk to her. She did that before, so she knows what needs to be done to fit your need.

      Sincerely,
        Wendy Novianto
