    Hi,

    I’m using the Breadcrumb snippet in version 1.0.1 and cannot make the &hideUnder parameter work correctly.

    <div id="breadcrumbs">
    [!Breadcrumbs? &homeId=`49` &showHomeCrumb=`0` &linkDescField=`pagetitle` &hideOn=`49,216` &hideUnder=`216` &homeCrumbTitle=`` !]
    </div>

    I would like to hide all nodes under folder-document #216.
    I also tried adding doc 216 to the &hideOn list, but it did not change anything.
    All documents below folder 216 (including it) are still displayed.

    The snippet documentation tells:
    /* $hideUnder [ string ]
    * Comma separated list of parent documents, whose CHILDREN you don’t want
    * Breadcrumbs to appear on at all. This enables you to hide Breadcrumbs on a
    * whole folders worth of documents by specifying the parent only. The PARENT
    * will not have Breadcrumbs hidden however. If you wanted to hide the parent
    * and the children, put the parent ID in hideUnder AND hideOn.
    */

    I’m probably missing something. But what?
    Thanks for your help.

      Are you talking about Wayfinder or Breadcrumbs?

      [[Breadcrumbs? &hideUnder=`4`]] makes Breadcrumbs doesn’t appear in children of page 4. It’s about hiding the Breadcrumbs, not the document itself.

        Thanks.
        I was talking about the Breadcrumbs snippet.

        What I observe it that hideUnder hides breadcrumbs on the direct children of the given parents. But it does not work for further descendants (i.e. children of children).

        What I want to do is something different that what hideUnder permits.
        I would like to display breadcrumbs on all pages, but that they do not display documents below node 216.

        [!Breadcrumbs? &homeId=`49` &showHomeCrumb=`0` &linkDescField=`pagetitle` &hideOn=`49` &stopIds=`216` &homeCrumbTitle=`` !]

        I tried this and expected that stopIds would do the job. But with code above, I observe that the document specified in stopIds is used as homeId and that documents under it are still listed as breadcrumbs.

          Use this, overwrite your Breadcrumbs snippet.
          This version will &hideUnder all the Children, Grand children, and all descendants until the 10th level.

            I upgraded but this does not change anything.

            Assuming we have documents 216, 218 and 221 in the following hierarchy:
            0 (root) > 49 > 56 > 189 > 216 > 218 > 221 > (...)
            all those 3 documents should still display breadcrumbs from document 56 to document 216 included, i.e.:
            "title of 56" > "title of 189" > "title of 189" > " title of 216"

            Seems that hideUnder is not the right parameter for this, since the breadcrumbs must still be displayed on documents that are deep in the tree structure.

            What I need is a "&stopIds" that works in the "parents --> children" direction, i.e. the start id being kept and stopIds being used as a break when going downwards.

            In the following snippet call, the &stopIds parameter acts as a replacement of the &homeId for children under document 216, i.e. it stops the breadcrumbs built from the deepest child to the highest possible parent.
            I just want the contrary, as if the breadcrumbs were built from the uppest parent.

            [!Breadcrumbs? &homeId=`49` &showHomeCrumb=`0` &linkDescField=`pagetitle` &hideOn=`49` &stopIds=`216` &homeCrumbTitle=`` !]
