The scrollable How, What, Why box on the ModX homepage

Okay, I’m totally confused. How does one go about making one of those really stylish scrollable "How, What, Why" content boxes as seen on the ModX homepage? I’ve looked through the code and it all seems to be pure CSS, but I’m sure there must be Javascript involved somewhere? There’s a similar type of thing on the Panic.com website in their Coda information.

Its the magic of jQuery, pushup.js and showcase.js
The css uses 960 grid.

I have something like that using jQuery and some custom.js here:

[On MODx, of course]
