    I have this navigation that I got from Listamatic, and have tried to import this into MODx for one of my websites. I have it working mostly, but right now, I can’t seem to get the current styling to appear.

    The actual navigation menu: www.laurielandry.com/index.html
    The current navigation MODx menu: www.laurielandry.com/index.php

    What am I doing wrong? I am totally new to MODx and I’m just trying to put together my first CMS site.

    Callout chunk:

    <div id="navcontainer">
    [[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &outerTpl=`menuContainer` &outerClass=`mainnav`]]
    </div>

    CSS code:
    /* Navigation menu image set up */

    #navcontainer
    {
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    z-index: 1;
    border-top-width: 1px;
    border-top-style: solid;
    border-top-color: #5B2F2F;
    }

    #navcontainer ul
    {
    list-style-type: none;
    text-align: center;
    margin-top: -15px;
    padding: 0;
    position: relative;
    z-index: 2;
    font-size: .55em;
    font-weight: bold;
    font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    }

    #navcontainer li
    {
    display: inline;
    text-align: center;
    margin: 0 5px;
    }

    #navcontainer li a
    {
    padding: 1px 7px;
    color: #5B2F2F;
    background-color: #fff;
    border: 1px solid #ccc;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    #navcontainer li a:hover
    {
    color: #000;
    border-top-width: 2px;
    border-right-width: 1px;
    border-bottom-width: 2px;
    border-left-width: 1px;
    border-top-style: solid;
    border-right-style: solid;
    border-bottom-style: solid;
    border-left-style: solid;
    border-top-color: #5B2F2F;
    border-right-color: #5B2F2F;
    border-bottom-color: #5B2F2F;
    border-left-color: #5B2F2F;
    }

    #navcontainer li a#current
    {
    color: #000;
    border-top-width: 2px;
    border-right-width: 1px;
    border-bottom-width: 2px;
    border-left-width: 1px;
    border-top-style: solid;
    border-right-style: solid;
    border-bottom-style: solid;
    border-left-style: solid;
    border-top-color: #5B2F2F;
    border-right-color: #5B2F2F;
    border-bottom-color: #5B2F2F;
    border-left-color: #5B2F2F;
    }

      Wayfinder adds "active" to a current item. So probably you need this:

      #navcontainer li a.active
      instead of:
      #navcontainer li a#current

      This should help you going further.

        Use the "view source" feature of your browser to see exactly what Wayfinder is producing, and adjust your css accordingly.
