Hi all,

Is it possible to create a drop-down menu where the level 2 and level 3 submenus are a nested list (rather than the third level appearing when the 2nd level link is moused over)?

My "client" wants the drop-down menus to look like the diagram below.

--------------------------------
Home About us Shop
--------------------------------
>Section 1
link 1a
link 1b
>Section 2
link 2a
-----------

Where the menu structure is:

Home
About us
Section 1
link 1a
link 1b
Section 2
link 2a
Shop
Section 3
link 3a
link 3b

I am using the CSS from the cssplay examples included in the MODx installation, as this is my first time creating a drop-down menu with Wayfinder. Is it possible to nest the menus like that?

Cheers, Kahli

Yes, it’s all in the css. Use the .here class (or .active, .current or whatever it is) to expose the submenu of the active top-level item, or use the &hideSubMenus to not even generate inactive submenus for that page. Use the display:none and display:block directive to determine what shows and what doesn’t, and otherwise style the various levels.
