how to make parent link dead

hi i just started using modx and building my first site all is fine and i am very happy with modx, now i got problem i am using wayfinder for my menu i have top horizontal menu with submenus.

like Home | Company | About us
Services
etc

i want to make " company " link dead not click able, i am not using any chunks for building menu i just created external css and using selector i am styling the menu. actually i don’t want to use chunk when i can do this by css.

please help me how i can make company link dead by passing paramater to wayfinder not using chunks.

You could use a custom rowTpl for the parent that does not have the link (you will also need a innerRowTpl with the link for the child pages). Or you can put the snippet [[firstChildRedirect]] in the parent document content and have the parent page redirect to the first child.

Hi Thanks Dev_cw actually i don’t want to use rowtpl type things right now, second one is good choice for me but i don’t know how to right snipet just started reading doc.
there should be option in admin panel link dead or not when creating pages. just like publish or not

rowTpl is used to customize Wayfinder output. Take a look at these wayfinder resources for some ideas:

The FirstChildRedirect snippet is part of the default snippets that can be included during the install process (i had it mispelled in the previous post it is First..not first).

can you please tell me how i can check either FirstChildRedirect snippet is installed or not ?

In the Manager, go to Resources -> Manage Resources, then the Snippets tab. You’ll see a list of installed snippets.

Just put [[FirstChildRedirect]] as the content of the Company document.
