Docs list with image preview and link

I want to create a page of press clippings for a site where I have the magazine name and publication date listed all on one page together with a preview image of each magazine cover. When you click on the title in the list it displays the preview image and a link to download a PDF of the article. An example can be seen on http://www.rag-bone.com/press.php

I’m not sure quite sure in my own mind the best way of achieving this. Do I create child documents containing the PDF and an image, then use [[listChildOrSibs]] to generate a list? How do I deal with the preview image?

Does anyone have any suggestions/solutions?

Thanks in advance.
